Barack Obama's presidential campaign in 2008 made history in more ways than one, but an often overlooked invention of his historic campaign is the creation of an organizational strategy known as the "snowflake model". The model is built on finding and developing leadership, with an emphasis on young people, and connecting them to like-minded, motivated individuals around the country. Since '08, dozens of organizations have adapted the snowflake model for their own causes. In this session, we will discuss what the snowflake model is, why it worked, and how you can leverage this model to achieve social change for a cause you care about.
