Technology is all around us. We use computers and the internet on a daily basis. We take polls, chat with friends, and ride to work in our smart train. We take hundreds of photos everyday. But where does all of this data go? Is it stored in your phone? In a cloud? In a galaxy far far away? How ethically is this data dealt with by the holders? And by your service providers, the middlemen? In this conference we will be discussing the technological interactions in our daily lives and the implications these mean for our privacy and our democracy. We will specifically be discussing social media, big data, net neutrality and the future of artificial intelligence. Please come prepared with your laptop and/or your phone.
